FACEBOOK HYPE PERSON

Description: We are looking for a creative volunteer to be our Facebook Hype Person to help with Genderbands’ Facebook group “Genderbands Hang Out”. You would be interacting with group members and hyping them up to drive up engagement and promote a welcome and safe online space. This is a part-time, remote position.

Job Responsibilities

• Generate ideas for content to post in the official Genderbands Facebook group that will encourage group participation (Example Selfie Sundays)

• Monitor posts and comments for inappropriate content and respond accordingly

• Interact with comments

• Approve new member requests

• Understand Genderbands’ brand guidelines to ensure content is consistent with the brand message

• Log volunteer hours using HomeBase App

• Other duties as needed

• Report to the Social Media Manager

• Work from home! This is a remote position. The successful candidate can work from home or from another location with Internet access to complete most of their duties. 

• Flexible schedule; average of 4 hours per week or less

Requirements

• 4 hours per week or less, flexible schedule

• Previous experience in Facebook content creation is strongly preferred

• Must wear a mask at all Genderbands in-person meetings and events, regardless of vaccination status or whether the event is indoors or outdoors

• Able to use own computer/device to complete work (computer/device will not be provided for you)

• Familiar with Slack, or willing to learn

• Zoom installed on work device

• Able to read, write, and speak English fluently

• Self-sufficient at creating content posting schedules and posting content on time

• Excellent at thinking outside the box

• Passion for Genderbands’ mission of helping transgender people pay for transition-related costs
